ARC August: Wrap-Up

arc-august

ARC August is a month long challenge hosted by the ladies from Read. Sleep. Repeat. where bloggers attempt to catch up on all of the ARCs they need to review

Does anyone else feel like August just flew by?! I cannot believe that it’s the last day of the month already!

As you probably noticed, I skipped my week 3 update- in fact I barely posted at all last week and that’s because classes started, dun dun duuUNNNNNN! Anyways, I had a hard time balancing all the back to school shenanigans with reading and blogging so I didn’t finish reading any books. At the time I was reading Becoming Maria: A Memoir, however I lost interest in the book after 70 pages and then my dad took it from me to read.

Even though I was up to my neck with required readings, I decided to dive into Vengeance Road in an attempt to finish my goal- which was probably the best decision  ever, I looooovvveeeeddd it! You can check out my review here (:

As of now I’m currently racing to finish Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between so I can at least have two Sep 1st ARCs finished. I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to read all of the Sep 1st ARCs, but I’m happy that I at least read some.

So here’s just a quick list of all of my ARC August related posts:

Here are the stats: I completed two books off of my TBR chart before ARC August began but after I signed up; I read six books during the month of August, I placed three books ‘on-hold’ for the sake of reading as much as I can, and I removed one book from my TBR when I realized it was non fiction. Not a bad month, could’ve been better but I know that I wouldn’t have read this much without the challenge. Thank you so much Shelly and Octavia for hosting such a great challenge! Hopefully I’ll have ARCs next year so I can participate again (:

How was your August, did you read a lot? Please share in the comments! If you participated in ARC August please leave your links in the comments as well so I can read your wrap up posts!
